On 17th July 2022, Qiadat Tabligh Majlis Ansarullah UK held its 2nd Twitter Space event on the topic of “Refuting Allegations Against Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)”. This event was tuned in by 209 people. Qiadat Tabligh hosted this event from its Twitter account @UKMuslimsForPeace. Event was hosted by Arif Ahmad sahib and guest speakers were Raza Ahmad sahib (Murrabi Silsila) and Mashhood Butt sahib (Naib Qaid Tabligh).
This event started with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Abdul Sami Abid sahib with English translation.
Arif Ahmed sahib presented an introduction of the topic and the points covered during the discussion were:
- Why the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is held in such high esteem and given two titles. Just two of many titles he’s been given in the Holy Quran as a mercy for mankind and an excellent exemplar for mankind.
- Whilst the Muslim world might not be united in many respects but in the honour that they hold for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
- Some Allegations on Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
- Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was seen as a warlord and that he spread Islam by force and by wars.
- Number and ages of wives of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Raza Ahmad sahib gave a beautiful talk and described that Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is a universal prophet with the last spiritual law in the form of the Holy Quran that is applicable to all the people till the end of times. He gave many solid arguments in his talk. He also gave his arguments on the allegations raised by non-Muslims that Islam was spread by force and wars. He said the Muslims had to fight defensive wars because the opponents were constantly conducting operations and raids against them. He explained that Islam progressed more in the cause of peace.
Mashhood Butt sahib also shared his remarks on the subject and said the misconception against Islam was also due to Muslim scholars that Islam spread by force. He gave many examples of non-Muslim scholars who admire the character and life of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Raza Ahmad sahib also described the reason and wisdom behind many wives of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
Mashhood Butt sahib gave argument on the allegation raised by non-Muslims on the character of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and the age of Hazrat Aisha (ra) at the time of their marriage.
Some listeners asked questions and share their thoughts on allegations against the number and ages of wives of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The panelists also gave answers to these questions.
The organisers thanked all the participants. This event last for 1 hour.
