Majlis Ansārullah Burton orgranised an IFTAR DINNER on 18th April 2022.
Guests were invited so that they could come and experience opening the fast. On this event Tablīgh contacts, neighbours and local organisations were invited that we have been working. Nau Mubain family was also invited to take part. Due to Covid and social distance restrictions, there was a limitation to the number of guests. In total there were 17 guests consisting of different nationalities; Pakistani, Hungarian, Jamaican, Kurdish and English. The local Murrabi sahib also attended this programme. They had arranged for Lajna to listen to the programme too. Murrabi sahib explained the importance of Ramadan. He explained what Ramadan is, how we perform the fast, prayers, Eid, the timings of fasts, the spirit of sacrifice, and what conditions a fast is lawful. After the presentation, they had a question and answered session with Murrabi sahib. The guests were delighted to have the opportunity to ask an Imam the questions and were pleased with the answers. The guests had the chance to observe how the fast is opened and see how Muslims do their prayer.
After which everyone enjoyed the food; Pakoras, Samosas, Dates, Chicken mince, Curry, Rice and a range of sweets.
Once the food was eaten, they excused the guests that they were going to the local Salat Center to perform their Isha prayers and Taraveeh prayers.
